This is making the layers

this is up to the top

Here it is in the microwave for about 10 minutes

This is after it is cooked

My daughter does not like the sour cream inside, so we put some on top (shhh)!

Everyone in our family really love Hood Sour Cream and all of the Hood products. When my children had parties or any get togethers we would buy A big bag of baking potatoes and set up a potato bar. We would have almost everything you can think of ready to put on your potato.  Hood Sour Cream, was the first item, chives, butter, broccoli, bacon bits, and more.
One of the things that I am happy about is that my children from an early age have loved Hood Onion Dip and cannot have a baked potato without sour cream.
My mother and my grandmother love to make scalloped potaotoes from scratch.

ingredients
1/4 pound of butter
about 6 or 7 large all-purpose potatoes
about 2 cups flour
I/2 cup Hood Sour Cream
about 1 1/2 to 2 cups of Hood Milk
stick of margarine
salt and pepper to taste

peel and slice potatoes in to lengthwise slices about 1/4 to 1/2 inches thick

Take a large pyrex bowl

on inside of bowl all the way around I hold the stick and rub the bowl. Then, I take some potato slices and put them in the bowl. I put enough flour to coat the potatos and a little salt;
Then pour some of the milk mixture on top

Repeat the process potato, flour, salt and milk mixture until I reach the top of the bowl.

on the top I pour enough milk mixture to cover the potatoes on the top.

It usually will take about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours on 350 degrees. To help speed up the cooking I place the bowl in the microwave for about 10 minutes to help the potatoes start to cook faster. Then put in the oven at 350 degrees and check after about 1 hour to see how the potatoes are. Check every 15 minutes or so and remove from oven when the potatoes are cooked. Let the bowl sit for 10 minutes.
Put a few tablespoons of Hood Sour Cream on top.

Then serve.
Enjoy
